Our Mission

Mt. Angel Community Foundation is a community-based, not-for-profit organization that facilitates funding and development of projects of an enduring nature that serve, enhance and enrich the greater community of Mt. Angel, Oregon.

Mt. Angel Community Festhalle project

Mt. Angel Community Foundation, in partnership with Oktoberfest Inc., Mt. Angel Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Mt. Angel, with support from our local community, is pleased to announce our latest project, the funding and completion of the Mt. Angel Community Festhalle, a new community building to serve the growing needs of Mt. Angel and the surrounding community. This building may be used by civic, church and non-profit groups, businesses, families or individuals to host a variety of activities and events, and it can serve as the community’s emergency facility in times of need.

The Mt. Angel Community Festhalle is located at 500 S. Wilco Hwy. in Mt. Angel.  The Festhalle (German for “festival hall”) first opened to the public at a dedication event on Sept. 9, 2011, and hosted thousands of Biergarten guests during the 2011 Mt. Angel Oktoberfest. 

The Festhalle is now open for community use, but much work remains to complete and fully furnish the new building.
